Remember When

You know that question... "If you could spend a day with anyone, deceased or alive, who would it be?" My answer: Walt Disney, to spend a day with him in Disneyland would be amazing. Do you remember your first visit to the Magic Kingdom? I'd love to hear about it. My Dad tells me I rode the Matterhorn 3 times and Small World over and over again. I'm no longer a Matterhorn fan, too rough but Small World sitting in a boat next to my daughter taking in the atmosphere and singing the tune over and over again is just a great as Pirates next to my son, where we look for something new every time as we "Yo Ho!" our way through the Caribbean. For me, it NEVER gets old.

Who would your anyone be? Do you Remember When you first stepped foot in the Magic Kingdom?

I don't remember how old I was but I do know I was a small kid because my mom has a photo of me from when I was around 4 yrs old at Disneyland. I have lots of good memories of disneyland. I just wish they would return the Main Street Electrical parade. It's like a Disneyland trademark. They are ruining Disneyland. :'(
I just mentioned this with another blogger.
I don't remember so much the specifics of the rides and sites, but now that I'm old and tired, it amazes me that my impatient and impoverished parents took us at all.
If mom was still here I'd give her the skunk-eye and ask if there was something unsavory going on.
Now that I'm old and tired I know they were some unscrupulous (sp?) people.

On brighter notes; "Small World" is the ONLY ride I have any memory of, and we had some nice pix of our day in the park.
Drunken stepdad has everything.

So much for the brighter note.

The first and only time that I have been to Disney was a few years ago over Christmas. I had a great time and I can't wait to go back, since I didn't get to do everything that I wanted to. Loved how they made it "snow" on Main Street in Magic Kingdom and how it was decorated for the holiday!

I love Disney. First trip to Disneyland was in 1970. It's odd, but one of the things I have a really salient memory of is how clean everything was.

I went to Disney World twice the year it opened - once on a band trip then again with my parents. It was so much more accessible to us, being on the east coast. I went about every two years after that because my cousin had a condo in Orlando.

I've only taken the kids once, but we're planning to go within the next two years (Universal is expected to open a massive Harry Potter thing then. WooHoo!)

Whispering...I have never been to Disneyland. Crazy, I know.
The "who would I spend the day with" is easy. My Mom. I would love to be able to ask her all the questions I have about raising 5 kids without losing your mind. Or at least how she hid the insanity so well!

Whoooohooooo! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disneyland. I have great memories from my chilhood trips, but the best have been with my kids.

My favorites are the oldies but goodies as well-Pirates and the Haunted Mansion.

In fact, I am planning a trip with just my 8 year old in September. (The other two can't leave the demands of high school-their loss...)

My "anyone(s)" would probably be founding father era. I would be interested in visiting with John and Abigail Adams. I love their letters to each other.

Oh gosh, I don't remember how old I was when my parents first took me to Disneyland, probably around 7 or 8 years old and of course I don't remember much of my experience back then, unless I look at the photo albums. But I have always, always loved going to Disneyland. It's funny because this has never been my goal in life, but for some odd reason, I have been to 3 (out of the 5)Disneyland parks in the world, and so far the one in Florida is the best (second place is Disney Paris). Actually we're planning a visit to either Hong Kong or Japan next month (remember I live in Seoul? - so it's not too far away) and we'll probaby hit Disneyland again.
Have a beautiful day (evening)!

Oo I LOVE Disney. We took the kids last year and had so much fun.

We all enjoyed that Peter Pan ride. Tommy thought it was so cool that we were flying.

I hope to get back to Disney at some point.

I remember!

When I was just a little girl, around 5, I had an aunt promise me that if she ever took a trip to CA/Disneyland, she would take me.

8 years later, at age 13, she fulfilled that promise. It was one of the best summers ever!

My anyone would be my Fat Granny. She passed away 5 years ago and I miss her every single day. I wish I would have spent more time with her when she was alive. Just to have ONE more day...

Oh how I LOVE Disneyland! We have gone every year since I was a little girl. Even though I enjoyed it in my adult years it really regained it's magic when we took our 3 girls for the first time. That is a magical time!!

I have been so busy. I miss reading blogs. I love Disneyland. Love it! My first visits were in the individual ticket days. We couldn't afford very many tickets so we had to choose our rides very carefully. We were so excited when they switched to general admission and we could go on everything.
We are so due for a Disney trip. Curse this recession!
If I could spend time with anyone it would be my dad. Boy do I miss him.
