The Breakup Song.. aww uh aw aw uh aw aw aw aw

I have a question about blogger etiquette. At what point do you stop following another blogger? I dunno this blogging thing reminds me of dating kiddie style, although I will admit its been a while and I'm new at the blogging thing, maybe I just don't get it. I do remember in Jr. High that if you handed a boy a note in the hall and he didn't respond you knew he wasn't interested. And if he wrote back, you were "going out". Once the notes stopped, that was it, you broke up and were off to look for another boy with great penmanship. So, back to current day note passing, I find myself leaving notes for bloggers that I once had a dialogue with but they're not leaving me notes anymore. I'm really not into one sided relationships, I'm very quick to break them off. So I ask you did they break up with me? Or should I break up with them? Cuz I'm feeling a big breakup day is coming...

I know exactly what you mean. There are some blogs where I felt like we had connected and we commented back and forth and then.... nothing. I still commented but there were no replies. I usually give it a while if I really like the blog, but I may lurk more and not comment as much.
Thanks for stopping by the other day =)

I know what you mean.

I suppose if I leave a ton of comments and I never get any back, then I'll stop following. I don't expect a comment on every post though. I get that people have lives. Even I get behind. But if it's been 5 months and I get no comment, yeah, I'll stop following.

I love this post. It's one that makes you go, "Hmmm." I know that sometimes I get lazy about commenting even though I'm still reading. You've made me realize how important it is to keep the comments coming just to let people know I'm still there.
First the Facebook honeymoon is over and now this??? Well, yeah, at what point do you feel like a stalker, leaving comments like you two are friends and the other person is thinking "who is this wierdo who keeps leaving comments on my blogs?!?!" I agree with Jeanette. Sometimes I read and don't comment, or I think of a comment but don't have time to leave it (because I am mostly reading feeds and am not really visiting people's blogs). But then I want comments on my blog!!! So I know I need to leave them on others, so they know I am reading, so they will want to read mine and leave comments on mine. Life is very cyclical.

Ugh. Passing notes in junior high. How awful.
nice picture , by the way. I like it.

I'll ditto Michaela and Whispering Writer.

And then I'll click your follow button. 'Cause I like you - do you like me? Check one:_ yes, _ no, _ maybe as a friend.

Thanks for taking me back to Jr. High!

Ok, Google is giving me a lot of grief about following - so for now I'm gonna add you to my RSS feed. (I wouldn't have bothered to mention that, but, you know, I just said I'd be following and then...)

Haha.. I know the feeling! But hey you just have to keep being persistent! At least that's what i do.
But sometimes I'm the jerk, and I don't comment back at times, and it's not that i forgot about the blogs i like to read on a daily basis.. it's just that maybe there has been a long day at my casa. or i just got lost on all the other new blogs I'm discovering and before i know it, it's already 7 hrs of interneting.. yet i always come back to my very first blog loves:) so with me..pwease don't break up ..i promise I'll come visit more often:)))) oh my i laugh my socks off:)))
Anyway, have a good one!
I have bolg-etiquette questions all the time, and I often wonder if I'm bumbling around. Hurting feelings even.
I would hate that.

I lost a facebook friend today and I'm crushed. I can't figure out who it is/was, so I can't conjure up any bitterness or resentment to comfort myself.

...think I need a snack...

I'LL follow you Mary.
Cuz I'm starstruck.
Did you read yesterday's post?
I mentioned you (roundabout).
While you and I were e-gabbing I was including you in my post.

THAT'S how much I rock.

Please don't break up with me :(
I'm not sure about the whole blog etiquette thing. I suppose as long as the person doesn't leave me rude/mean comments I'm pretty patient.
Oh gosh, I hope it's not ME you want to break up with. I have been out of it for at least a week and have 268 unread posts in my reader to show for it. I'll get it together. Really I will...

And p.s. - are you ever going to do posts sharing makeup tips. Like concealer. For old people. I have issues. :)

Ironic that we all can relate to this. We all want to "feel the love" yet at the same time have those moments where we are just checkin in and don't have time for comments. Such a vicious cycle!!
